There are many things I enjoy about breastfeeding my kids. These range from benefits to special moments. While there are some days I may not like how dependent my children are on me, I know these first few years will go by fast. There are times when I feel touched out, but I do love how a nursing session can help my little one and I reconnect. Some days it's a helpful reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment.
10 Things I Love About Breastfeeding
- Health Benefits – for baby and me
- Financial Savings – no formula to buy and presumably fewer doctor appointments due to the health/immunity benefits
- Bonding
- Snuggling
- It's portable
- Soothing when they are hurt or having a meltdown
- The smile mid-feeding
- Their little hand on my heart while nursing
- Getting that sleepy, warm and cozy feeling while nursing so we both doze off
- Milk coma (more seen in the newborn days when mama milk is a magical sleep potion!)

– reassurance that baby will grow up strong and health and get less sicknesses.
– Convenance.. (easy to wake up and just nurse in the night)
– Hands free! (Breastfeed while baby wearing)
– Less temper tantrums. (when baby/toddler is upset, breastfeeding always calms then down)
:) Plus its the most amazing thing in the world a mother could ever do for her child :)

I love when the day comes that the little one discovers that there are TWO places the milk comes from. Then when they realize that and daddy comes in without his shirt on, show the baby his, and watch someone run and get a shirt on! I remember my first baby and having daddy laying next to us on the bed and I told her, “Look, Daddy has something like mine.” Her eyes just got big, and she lunged at him. The look on my hubby’s face was too hilarious for words. That was 27 years ago and I have not forgotten.

I love all of those things too, and that it’s such a portable food option! Packing bottles and sterilizing all of that equipment! Such work compared to the ease of nursing. /but you listed all of the faves like the snuggle factors.
