Newborn Heart Defect Screening Awareness Day
Did you know about 1 in 100 babies are born with a heart defect? Many go undetected which can lead to tragedy early in their little lives. Having pulse oximetry screening done within the first 24 hours of life can help to detect some congenital heart defects. Pulse Ox screenings can save lives – help spread the word and take the pledge!
I’m sharing this today as part of an awareness initiative because I think it is important. I truly admire Kristine who has done incredible work in raising awareness and getting more babies screened each year.
