Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Magisto. I received a promotional code for premium features to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Despite the frustrations and stress that come with motherhood, I really do love being a mom. I love making, birthing, and raising babies. I love watching them develop and grow up (way too fast, I might add).
I love the woman I’ve transformed into – faults and all.
I also love to document my kids, if you haven’t noticed! Part of that is to share pictures and videos with family that isn’t nearby. It’s also part of adopting a digital life. Sharing online has become part of our daily lives, for better or worse.
Anyway, we share a variety of videos: product demonstrations, rambles, silly stuff and glimpses into our life. Some are edited with music and effects, while others are uploaded straight from my phone. Editing is pretty time consuming and takes skill to do amazing things. I’m learning so it takes me longer (and I don’t even have amazing results most of the time). For purely fun videos it’s nice to take the work out of it.
With the Magisto video app, which is available on iOS, Andriod, and the web, you can create nice looking videos for personal use with little effort. You simply select videos and photos, pick a theme, pick music and let Magisto’s artificial intelligence do its magic in editing. Once it’s done you can rate it and share it to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Your videos can also be listed publicly on Magisto’s website and embedded in your blog.
Here is a fun little video I made with footage at the playground:

More about Magisto’s partnership with Joan Osborne
Magisto’s Mother’s Day challenge coincides with the first annual Mother’s Day benefit concert hosted by Osborne with special guests Ollabelle and Elizabeth Mitchell at NYC’s City Winery on May 12th. This concert will help benefit these two charities: Somaly Mam Foundation and Save the Children. The Magisto team will be at the concert to create and share videos of the special evening and the company will make a donation to the two charities. Osborne’s song will be available for listening on the Magisto site and available for digital sale at www.joanosborne.com with proceeds going to both charitable organizations.
