Caramel Apple Pork Chops Recipe

This has become my favourite recipe, I love the sweetness, kind of like turning supper into dessert. Plus, my picky eater was quick to eat her supper once she realized it was apple on her plate.

  • Pork chops
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1-2 apples, peeled, cored & sliced

Place a oven safe dish in the oven preheated to 175, for keeping the pork chops warm.

Heat oil in a large skillet, and cook the chops, taking about 6-10 minutes turning them occasionally until done, then transfer  to oven.

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and pepper.

Add butter to the hot skillet, melt and add apples and brown sugar mixture. Cover and cook on medium heat until apples are tender. Once tender, remove apples only, arranging them over the pork chops. Simmer the sauce until it has thicken then add to the chops.

I am so excited that I have everything I need to make this TONIGHT! I already had the chops defrosting in the fridge & was trying to decide how I was going to prepare them tonight. My hubby’s fav is my Cherry Ginger Pork Chops (YUMMMMMY!) BUT, I am going to give this one a shot. I’m sure my 2 1/2 yr old son will love them too. Thanks!Chevso

That sounds like it would be really good! I love the flavor combination of apples and pork anyway, but to add an extra depth of flavor with the brown sugar & cinnamon pushes it over the edge. Thanks for sharing this recipe!kima86

Oh wow! At first when I read the title…I was unsure. Haha….but…this actually sounds very good and different! I have to eat Gluten free and alot of the time I eat the pork chops plain. This would be a great option for me…..cause its all gluten free for me~ Thanks for the great idea!
