Until this year, I never even considered buying my glasses online. I worried that the frames wouldn't fit, about who would adjust them, what if they looked all wrong on me, and various other excuses. However, money is tight these days and eyeglasses are a necessity for me.
The cost of glasses always shocks me and it feels misleading. The frames cost so much, then there are the lens (and the whole thing is useless without them!), plus any special coatings or polishing.. it all adds up. At the eye doctor's office it is so hard to find a pair of frames for less than $75. Well, decent ones anyway.
Zenni Optical has cheap eyeglasses that they make so they cut out the middle man to save us money! Their frames cost no more than $46 a pair. So when you add on the lenses, etc, the cost is still pretty reasonable. Buying glasses is a necessary evil, so if there is a way to save on them without sacrificing quality and style — I'm there! With today's economy there are a lot of people without vision insurance, which makes it hard for them to afford glasses.
I found this pair I like for $19! They look okay on the Zenni Frame Fit, so that's reassuring. I can use the savings towards other bills then.
What pair of glasses do you like at Zenni Optical?
