Using Affiliates to Monetize Your Parenting Blog

If you’ve read my post about reflection on 5 years of blogging, you know my blog has come a long way! When I first started blogging, I had no idea it’d turn into a full-time gig and I especially had no idea it’d make me a decent income. Whether you’re just starting out with a blog, or you’ve been in the game for a few years, now’s the time to kick your earnings up a notch! One of the best ways to do this is to incorporate affiliate links into your posts. Don’t worry: you don’t have to be spammy to make money with affiliates! Let’s talk about some of my favorite affiliates to use.

Looking for ways to earn money with your blog? One of the best ways to do this is to incorporate affiliate links into your posts. Don’t worry: you don’t have to be spammy to make money with affiliates! Let’s talk about some of my favorite affiliates to use that are perfect for bloggers writing about parenting, kids activities, motherhood, etc. These monetization tips also work for other types of lifestyle blogs as well.

Affiliates for Bloggers – How to Monetize a Parenting Blog

This post contains affiliate links (of course it does!).

Gymboree is a great brand that all moms love, right? That makes it easy to use these affiliate links in a mom, parenting, or lifestyle blog. If you write about kids at all, you can totally work in Gymboree! They have sales quite often, which makes it even easier. I love Gymboree, they’re a brand we all know and trust, which means I feel confident while promoting them on my blog. Tell your readers to sign up for their email notifications to save 15% off their purchase. Sign up for this affiliate through ShareASale.

Zulily, a CJ.com affiliate, is home of some of the best sales you’ll ever find for kids and moms! Get daily deals, saving up to 70% on bedding, home decor, kids’ clothes, plus size items, health and beauty, toys, and more. Tie some Zulily items into a Top 10 Living Room Ideas post!

Earth Mama Organics is another company that’s perfect to promote on your mom blog. I love their products and their free birth plan template (which I used). If you write about pregnancy, postpartum, and new mom tips, they are a great fit.

Leading Lady does nursing bras. Sign up for their affiliate program through your ShareASale dashboard. The key to earning with Leading Lady – or any affiliate? Writing helpful content. My top breastfeeding tips are helpful to my readers, but note that in the post I also use affiliate links. If you do this in a natural, non-sleazy kind of way, you’ll make more sales than if you’re just promoting, promoting, promoting. Think about when you click on links. Do you do it if you’re being sold to? Probably not. We click more when we are reading helpful articles!

The Potty Train in a Weekend eBook pretty much sells itself, and the commission is great since it’s through e-junkie. A mom of four shares her secrets, tips, and tricks on how to potty train your kiddos in just one weekend! Write a parenting post – any parenting post, really – and you can easily and naturally weave this one in.

Shutterfly is a well-known affiliate that lots of bloggers work with, and they have tons of options when it comes to products to link to from baby announcements to photo books! Whether you do a Top 10 list and incorporate some of their items, or want to write about photography and prints, Shutterfly is a great affiliate to start with.

Whether you are just getting started with monetizing your parenting blog or you’ve been trying to monetize your blog for awhile, the key is to find affiliate programs that are a good match with the topics you write about the most. Think about what brands and products you love the most and find out if they have an affiliate program for bloggers.

Which affiliates are your favorites? Let me know in the comments!
