I am so excited to share one of the newest additions to Amy Michelle Go Totes! They recently introduced several new bags for work, travel, students, and babies. I received the Iris diaper bag to review in charcoal floral. This new style and pattern became available at the beginning of this year. The floral is a little louder and more bold than I normally would select, but I’m feeling more bold this year! I’m not going to fade into the shadows. Heck, no! I’m a mom and proud of it. And yes, my bag is faboulous!
What’s one thing that we worry about for our kiddos? Their sleep. Are they comfortable? Warm enough? Cool enough? Dry enough? Are they breathing okay? Our minds go a mile a minute worrying, making lists, checking them off, and peeking in our babies “just one last time.” I know thing I like to have on for myself in winter is a humidifier. With the furnace running the already dry air just gets drier. It makes breathing at night uncomfortable at times. And if you are prone to nosebleeds like I am, ugh. Dry air is NOT our friend.

This is long overdue, but I must share with you our top 11 baby products that we used in 2011. Most of these items we received for review – thankfully! – or we may not have given them a whirl. Who knows for sure, right? What I can say is that these products are my favorites and I recommend them for anyone with a baby! Some of these are better suited for under 12 months old, while (most) others are still seeing plenty of use even today.

It won’t take long before Rissa is bored in the backseat. Right now she’s usually pretty content with one toy to occupy her on short trips. On long trips, it doesn’t really matter because she gets frustrated anyway. When we go for stroller walks, she usually clutches her toy the whole time and looks around or points. When she does start needing more entertainment while on the go, we’ll be making use of the Snack & Play Travel Tray by Star Kids Products. Right now though… Rissa doesn’t want it on!

The Hygenie changing pad is features patent pending silver ion technology infused in the fabric. This creates an antibacterial and antimicrobial barrier to protect baby from whatever surface they may be laying on. They also make pillows and sleep sacks – all in the USA. It’s more like a changing mat than a pad since it doesn’t have much for padding.

One of my biggest challenges as a mother has been trying to keep socks ON my child’s feet. My parenting ability even came into question because I dared to take my barefoot child out in public! The only things I found to work where to have her leggings cover them, but that still wasn’t fool-proof. She’d pull them off, but at least it created more work for her. Her socks always seemed too big (now they seem to small, go figure).
Her newborn cousin has the same problem. He won’t keep socks on his feet.
It’s an epidemic, really.
