How exciting! This is my first Ultimate Blog Party and I can’t wait to meet all of you who are partying it up this week. If you are visiting, please say hello in the comments! If you decide to follow me, we’d love that and let us know so we can make sure to return the favor!
(Not sure what this party is? Swing over to 5 Minutes for Mom to get the scoop. It’s a huge blog hop party, complete with door prizes!)
So Who is Darcy?
If you know, please tell me!
I kid, although I suppose it’s a half-truth. I’m not the same person I was before becoming a mother, that’s for sure. It’s one of those things I’ve heard countless times, but I didn’t really “get it” until I became a mom myself.
Aerissa & Mama Darcy – March 2011
I’m currently a stay-at-home mom. This wasn’t in ‘the plan,’ but my position was eliminated while on leave…so yeah. I admit, I had thoughts about wanting to stay home. We worked hard on straightening our finances up before Rissa’s arrival last Halloween. Thankfully we are making it work for now and I hope we can continue to do so!
Why “Tales From the Nursery?”
It took us three years of trying to conceive before we became successful. Once that happened, I had quite a task ahead of me: Preparing the nursery.
It was a storage room of sorts, so I had to go through a lot of boxes and just stuff. I opted to donate a lot of stuff to Goodwill. I think it was a couple carloads. As I worked my way through, I thought about how much time I’d be spending in the nursery once baby arrived.
Then I realized I was already spending a ton of time in the nursery!
Add to my desire to blog about my pregnancy and keep family up-to-date…. and TA-DA… I had tales to share from the nursery.
So who are you?
I’d love to meet you! Say hi, tell me a random tidbit, leave a link to your blog – I’ll come visit, I promise!
