When at the airport alone, I tend to keep to myself, though it is really fun to people watch. Even so, I have met a few different people – some nice and others not so much. Coming back from NYC in August with Brian and Rissa our flight got delayed. There was a very nice family in the waiting area that helped us entertain Rissa. I was so thankful for them because we worried about people getting cranky about a restless toddler. We didn’t really talk with them that much though.
On my way out to LA at the end of August, I met a friendly woman while waiting to board the plane. We started chatting about where we were going and where we were from. Since we were flying Southwest, we could choose our seats when boarding. We decided to sit together and continued to talk for nearly the entire flight. The time flew by as we talked about work, family, movies… and some personal struggles we were both dealing with. It sort of felt like a movie – meeting and connecting only to part after landing, never to see each other again.
Okay so it wasn’t quite that sappy, but I never thought I’d make such a deep connection with a random stranger while at the airport. So, the thought that these two in this movie trailer could fall in love after meeting in the airport… just might be plausible.
Now that you’ve watched it – I just have to say kuddos to Sears on that hilarious trailer!
