My friend AH has provided another delicious recipe she created with her order from Door to Door Organics to share with all of you! While I didn’t get a chance to taste it, I did think it smelled amazing.

Make this easy maple glazed salmon filets recipe for an easy weeknight meal!

Using a great cut of salmon, a few simple ingredients and our favorite side these days, quinoa, you can build a healthy meal in no time. I especially love that this maple glazed salmon is appealing to kids too since it has that sweetness they love! Heart healthy and great for them, salmon is a choice I have no guilt about feeding to my kids.

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 salmon filets
  • 1/4-1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 Tbs coconut amino acids (soy sauce replacer)
  • 1 head fresh minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt
  • Dash of fresh ground black pepper

As you can see, this maple glazed salmon has a very simpe list of ingredients. It’s cost effective and easy to make. A perfet solution for a busy mom trying to cook healthier meals!

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a bowl mix maple syrup, coconut aminos, garlic, salt and pepper.

Place mixture in a covered baking dish, with salmon, and let marinate in refrigerator for about an hour, turning partway through.

Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes or until it flakes easily with a fork.

Serve with quinoa – prepare as directed.

We love simple quiona as a side with this maple glazed salmon, but if gluten and carbohydrates are not an issue for you, it is easy to substitute anything you prefer. Brown rice, wild rice, roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes are all great side dishes for this salmon recipe. A hearty serving of steamed vegetables or a side salad complete this meal making it a great healthy option that fits easily into your weeknight menu.
