Tales From the Nursery: The Toddler Years

What Would You Paint? $2,500 Better Homes and Gardens Paint Sweepstakes 2/15-3/31

For me, one of the most fun parts about having a baby was painting the nursery!  Well, more accurately it was me picking out the color and watching others paint it for me (being preggo and all!).  We’ve been wanting to repaint other areas of the house, but haven’t gotten to it yet.  Maybe this summer?  Maybe if we win an awesome wall makeover….

Better Homes and Gardens wants to let everyone know that you can get high quality paint and home décor at Walmart’s low prices to help you with all of your home decorating needs!  And what’s the perfect way to do that?  By offering a giveaway of $2,500 worth of winnings, including: a personal color consultation from a Better Homes and Gardens Style Director (he’ll come to your home!) and Walmart gift cards for paint, products and painters.

From February 15th through March 31st 2012, you have the opportunity to enter this sweepstakes at the BHG Live Better Facebook Page.  All you have to do is “like” the page and submit your email address for a chance to win! Pretty easy, right?

I know the BHG Style Director would come up with something amazing for our living room… something I’d never be able to come up with on my own.  I am thinking a green or blue accent wall would be a nice touch… but what shade?

What color accent wall do you want in your house?

Have Something To Say ?

  1. I want to paint my great room! I honestly don’t mind painting myself but I’m afraid of heights and my great room has 25 ft ceilings so I’ll have to either save or win this contest to have the money to paint it!chascouponmom

Winning a room makeover would be very expensive…because once they did one room, I’d have to do the others!east9thstreet

I’ve always wanted a warm sorta burnt red wall for my living room. I think it would be so cosy with red pillows on the couch too.OMGhada

  4. In my old house, I had painted 3 walls a light grey, and one a really deep grey – LOVED IT! I have tons of black wood framed art, so it really popped on the painted walls. In my new house, I have a huge Master Bedroom, which is awesome – But it’s going to be expensive to paint!

If I could have any accent wall I wanted – I would do the light grey again, with one wall in a print! I’m loving the stenciled or striped walls that you see so much of on Pinterest. That would be totally amazing :)sunandsipcups

I would totally paint my kitchen because about 6 months ago my husband decided to start and never finished. I have no cabinet doors and halfway painted (and very messy) trim.

I’m not sure what color, but I would love to have my son’s room painted. He’s 13 and needs something modern. He has a blacklight, so something for that maybe.
