Getting everything ready the night before — clothes laid out (including shoes, and for me, jewelry); backpacks packed; lunches made; jackets, hats, mittens, etc. all together; breakfast identified and set up ready to make the next morning. When I do this the night before, our mornings go super easy…..when I don’t, well, it’s not a pretty sight.

I keep a bag in the van with diapers, wipes, changes of clothes, snacks, bottles, formula, bottled water, coloring books, crayons, cars, and other toys. That way if we’re out longer than we need to be, or if I need to run out for a second, I don’t have to worry about packing up a bag. I can just grab the kids and go. We check the bag every 2 weeks, and restock as needed.Mommy24babies

      • Dee W January 16, 2012 Reply

It started by accident. Twice we went on a trip about an hour away and I’d forgotten the diapers! I had the diaper bag but no diapers, smh. So I just started leaving those and wipes in the car. Then any extra snacks that we had when we returned home were left, and then so on and so forth. I would really recommend it.Mommy24babies

I make sure to get things ready the night before on school days. We have dedicated areas for backpacks, library books, and lunch boxes so that everyone knows where they are and we don’t lose them or waste time looking for them. I make sure that homework and/or important papers are taken out of the backpack as soon as we arrive home.

Leave the stress behind. The house won’t catch fire if it doesn’t get cleaned, the kids won’t get fat from one night of MacDonald’s.

well, I don’t think I have any tricks but I can say something. my son is a new walker now and curious about everything so , what I do is not to have decorations around the house. I don’t have to clean them, pick them up or check them every time so,that is one less stress on my listerickascr

Good money management is one of the ways I help save money for my family. I’m an accountant so I watch our spending like a HAWK so I know when we’re getting close to going over budget. Also, I’m a huge advocate of PAYING YOURSELF before anyone else. What does this mean? The weekly deposit to savings happens before any other bills are paid.brousehouse

My tip is to remember that “SuperMom” does not exist! You aren’t going to always be able to do everything the way you’d like and everything is not always going to run as smoothly as you had hoped. Sometimes being “good enough” is PERFECT!Kitty32504
