Living in Wisconsin, I am no stranger to cranberries. I used to live closer to where there were lots of cranberry bogs, actually! Around here, they aren’t just for holiday meals. I’ll eat craisins (dried cranberries, like raisins) and drink cranberry juice year round. Admittedly I’m not a huge fan of jellied cranberry that you often see at Thanksgiving. While I drink the juice, I rarely drink it straight. My favorite is cran-apple!

I received the opportunity to work with Old Orchard to review their new Cranberry Natural juices. I received two yummy flavors: Cranberry Apple and Cranberry Raspberry. (I also received an organic shirt as a thank you.) I didn’t pick out the flavors so I was very excited at the cran-apple! Something about the blend of tart with sweet just makes these combinations refreshing.

These new Cranberry Naturals come in six flavors in 64oz jugs. They do not contain high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. These are all natural, reduced-calorie cranberry juice cocktails. They are sweetened with a blend of sugar and Truvia (stevia). They contain 30% fruit juice and only 70 calories per serving. They are a nice option compared to some of the other juices out there and they taste great. I wasn’t sure if they’d taste a little “off” or not, but they tasted fine to me. They definitely tasted yummy in cupcakes! (Okay, not the healthiest option but they sure taste good.) I bought some “make your own flavor” Jello and plan to use the Cranberry Naturals to make some fun flavor combinations!
