Mmm bread. Nice, warm, soft bread. Brian can attest to my love of restaurant rolls and breadsticks. Some people worry about filling up on it but not me! Love it!

I was very interested in trying Sister Schubert’s new soft pretzel rolls and mini baguettes. They claim to have that same restaurant quality right in your freezer. Could this be true? Unfortunately, Sister Schubert’s products aren’t available in a grocery store near me. Thankfully the company was nice enough to ship a bag of each straight to my door in order for me to share my thoughts with all of you.

These breads did not disappoint! They are ready in 7 to 9 minutes in the oven and are fabulous! They warmed up evenly and tasted like they were fresh out of the oven. I dare say the mini baguettes are better than in a restaurant! Most baguettes I get are a little too crunchy and a bit dry. These have a crisp crust but the inside is soft and perfect for melted butter. It was nicely paired with broccoli cheddar soup for dipping too.

The pretzel roll was pretty good too. I’ve had soft pretzels plenty of times but I’ve never had a pretzel roll before. I didn’t like the outside as much in this style, but the inside was softer than a regular soft pretzel, I thought. While it is suggested to heat frozen breads, it does say you can thaw them and heat them in the microwave or oven. I’d suggest thawing the pretzel rolls and pressing a chunk of block cheese in the middle before warming them. Mmm yum!
