Dressing Up for the Holidays With the Tea Collection {Review}
We have plenty of holiday gatherings to attend and Miss Riss needs to be dressed to the nines! I had one cute little Christmas outfit for her last year but no one really saw it since she slept through most of it. This year she’ll be awake and in pictures. Looots of pictures! I’ve been admiring the boutique style clothing offered by the Tea Collection for several months and was ecstatic about the opportunity to review a few pieces from their New Highland Holiday line.
The Tea Collection designs clothes with inspiration from around the world – from flowers to architecture, if it was appealing to the eye, they worked on designing from that inspiration. They have a lot of very fun lines based on cultural and geographical influences. The Tea Collection also helps by donating 20% at designated times/days to the Global Fund for Children. They carry clothing for children 0-12 years of age and now also carry a few women’s sizes. (The women’s does not go up to plus sized, which disappointed me.)
Here she is in the Lantana Baby Dress with Sparkle Stripe Leggings in birch. This dress has long sleeves and stops above the knee. It does not have a defined waist line. I think she looks pretty and dressed up for Christmas in this vibrant red. The dress was easy to get over her head and on her quickly since there wasn’t any buttons, snaps or ties. The tights are super cute, but I wish they had feet attached! Trying to keep socks on her is near impossible! Or at least I wish they had some elastic around the bottom.
Here our model who refused to stay still on her own is wearing the Wildflower Wrap Dress (in shadow color theme). I like the other Wildflower dress too. I like how it has a kimono look to it. Again, I much appreciate the long sleeves (it’s getting cold in Wisconsin!). I find this dress is more fun for general wear rather than holiday specific, but it’s nice to steer clear of all red, white and green and mix it up a little bit! This one was also easy to get over Rissa’s head. She hates that part of getting dressed so making it as quick and easy as possible is great.
After several washes these dresses have not shrunk and their colors are still vibrant, not faded. My daughter likes them as well! She’s still on the small side so she has some room to grow! I love the various inspired themes and color combinations used – some are so bold! I do feel the prices are out of our budget for normal every day wear. For special occasions I will splurge!
Have you ever shopped the Tea Collection? What did you think?
