How Do You Know if Your Family is Complete? (+ enter for a $500 handbag!) #Essure
It took a few years of trying to have our now 1 year old daughter and I know I’m not done having babies… yet. At least, we want to try for at least one more, possibly two. Having up to two was always something my husband and I agreed upon. It just seemed like a good number, ya know?
If we aren’t successful in having any more lil ones, I’d still consider our family complete with one child. Additional children for us is like a bonus at this point! The main thing I’m looking at is our age. The older I get, the more high risk the pregnancy will be, not to mention the increased chances of issues such as birth defects.
I’d like to say we’ll be complete once we have X number of children, but in reality, we’ll be done when we have X amount of children by the time I’m 35 years old. Boy, that’s coming faster than I’d like too! I’m turning 31 in just a few short months.
While my husband and I have discussed the number of children we’d like to have on numerous occasions, we haven’t specifically discussed when our family will be complete to the point where we are comfortable with the prospect of absolutely NO MORE children. I don’t know how or when that will be (if ever). So, I think sticking with the age guideline will work the best for us.
