Little Bee Co OS Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway (Closed)
You know I love trying new cloth diapers, right? Do you know how exciting it is to find a new, unique one that has a rockin’ cause? Well The Little Bee Co has pleasantly surprised me! Their tagline Bee changed and change the world is pretty spot on and makes me want to buy a whole stash of these!
For every diaper sold, reviewed, and given away, another is donated to an orphan or another child in need. How is that for commitment? That means when you buy one of these OS pocket diapers for $19.95, you are helping to donate. Essentially buying 2 for $20, but giving it to someone else who needs it. And once you try one of these… you’ll want more.
Trust me.
Unfortunately they are in one of the areas affected by flooding. The website is limited in what you can peruse until 9/24 while the shop is closed. Besides the diapers they do offer some accessories, such as Rockin Green Soap.
Okay, I have to share more about how the donation (aka diaper drop) is done:
With every diaper purchased The Little Bee Co. will donate a diaper to an orphan in need. Once enough diapers are collected for each baby of one entire orphanage, a “Diaper Drop” is organized to deliver the diapers and help in assisting the orphanage workers with their transition to modern cloth. The diapers donated are the same diapers sold. Every baby deserves the same high quality we choose for our own baby!
I received the Cambodian Blush diaper with a bamboo lining. I’ve never had a bamboo lining before, only as part of a soaker.
Features:
- Waterproof PUL outer
- Adjustable front snaps
- Wrap & Go feature to eliminate messy diaper storage and to crossover on small waists
- 100% all natural bamboo fleece inner lining, luxuriously soft and hypo-allergenic or microsuede
- Specially designed leak guard front elastic
- Available in 9 solid colors
- Pocket Diaper
- One Size (8-35lbs)
- 2 microfiber inserts (large and contoured newborn one)
Function:
The two inserts snap together and I have not used them separately. Using the two together has definitely kept baby girl dry. I’ve used them for day, nap and overnight. The first time I used it overnight it was just the two inserts, but she was not in it as long as usual that night. I’ve also stuffed an extra insert in. I haven’t had any leaks with this diaper.
Laundry:
You do have to unstuff the inserts yourself and I found that they don’t shake out the easiest. So far everything seems to wash clean. I’ve been putting it all in the dryer since the bamboo doesn’t feel as soft off the line. The inserts dry as well as my others… by needing 2 dryer cycles.
User Friendly:
These are pretty easy to use, especially if they are pre-stuffed. The pocket has enough room for daddy hands to stuff! One thing I noticed though, is that it was easy for me to get the inserts under the inner flap. You don’t want the inserts there! That flap helps keep wicking from the snap area.
Fit:
The elastic is quite snug around the thighs and waist. It has left marks on her thighs. I think it looks cute but am concerned about it fitting as she gets taller. She wears it with the rise unsnapped now and she’s only 28.5 inches and 10.5 months old. There’s still room in the waist though it seems like the back does the stretch work to reach the snaps in front. The front elastic stays pretty bunched up. Overall if fits her pretty well right now and I’m reaching for it quite often. I really like the bamboo lining and the pocket room!
Now that you know how Little Bee Co fit on my tall, thin girl, check out how they work for a chunky monkey and an average sized babe!
