Grandma El’s Diaper Rash Remedy & Prevention Review (Limited Free Samples)

While Rissa doesn’t frequently have rashes, I often like to add some extra prevention for night time.  Of course I want something that will work well, is cloth safe, and is made with natural ingredients.  I’d also like it to be multi-functional, if possible.  A tall order? Naw, not really!

Grandma El’s is a known name in the cloth diaper community.  It’s made with all natural ingredients and is safe to use with cloth.  The story of this ointment is quite interesting!  It was created in 1972 by Robert Posner, a skincare specialist.  He created it to battle his son’s (Jonathan) stubborn diaper rash.  Jonathan’s mother, Eleanor, started giving it to friends and family.  Jonathan continued to distribute their rash ointment and developed Grandma El’s.  This family business is proud to provide a helpful, natural product that is made in the USA.

It is recommended to use Grandma El’s with every diaper change.  I have not used it with everytime, but I have used it to deal with diaper rash AND some minor cuts and scrapes.  Baby’ girl’s sharp nails dug into her skin as she was grabbing at her bottom.  I certainly didn’t want anything getting into those open wounds.  I kept putting the ointment on it and watched it clear up.

As I mentioned before, the ingredients are all natural and are posted where you can clearly read over them.  I also like that a thin application can be used on chapped lips, sunburn, scrapes, etc, due to its healiing power.

Final thoughts: I do like this ointment.  It is easy to dispense (squeeze tube), easy to wipe off, and it smells good!  I can’t quite place the scent but it’s a touch fruity.  I also like that it can be used for more than just baby bottoms!
