Review & Giveaway Resources: Places to Submit Pitches to Sponsors

When you are taking part in a giveaway event, you will want places to submit pitches to sponsors.  Sometimes it is helps to send a wider message out to companies and PR firms that are looking to partner with bloggers.  This should not be your only way of finding sponsors for reviews and giveaways; however, it can be a useful resource.  The response rate can be hit or miss depending on who’s checking out the queries.

Places to Submit Pitches

Here are three sites you can send a general pitch out and (hopefully) be return pitched by companies and PR.  The idea is you are sending out a message “Please pitch me!” and then you can look through what is offered to you.  I’ve used these sites with varying degrees of success depending on what I’m looking for.

  1. Profnet - https://profnet.prnewswire.com/ProfNetHome.aspx
  2. Reporter Connection - http://reporterconnection.com
  3. Pitch Rate - http://pitchrate.com

Be sure that you sign up as a JOURNALIST.  Include information about what you are seeking, why, when, how you’ll promote, and some follower stats.  Be clear that you are seeking tangible products and not just pictures of products (seriously, you’d be surprised at what I’ve been “offered”) and that there is no fee.  You cannot post on Profnet if there is a fee associated with your request.

I’ve developed some great working relationships this way and hopefully you do too!

Have you used these before?  What kind of success have you had?

I’ve used Profnet, and HARO, but I haven’t used the other two you have listed there. I might have to give them a try with all the big giveaways going on this fall!linetteg
