Eco Baby Botanicals from Vintage Body Spa {Review} #blogbash11
One thing I love about Twitter is connecting with others. I found out about Vintage Body Spa’s natural skincare products from Twitter. I connected with them and was able to receive the opportunity to try out something from their new Eco Baby Botanicals line.
Vintage Body Spa offers a variety of pampering skincare products that are paraben-free, made with natural ingredients, and cruelty-free. Recently they released their vegan, botanical based skin care for babies. I received the Herbal Baby Bottom Balm to try out.
This balm is:
* nut oil free
* paraben free
* preservative free
* phlalate free
One of the things I like about this Herbal Baby Bottom Balm is that it can be used for diaper rash, but also as a salve for minor cuts and abrasions. This makes it a great diaper bag addition – rash cream and first aid salve in one tin! I’ve used it a few times on Rissa’s bottom. It smells nice and natural and is easy to apply. Some other natural products I’ve used were hard to get out of their containers and rub on. This balm is gentle to apply, which is important, especially on a rash!
I can’t really judge how fast it cleared up her rash compared to other products. She wasn’t super rashy and it cleared up in about the normal amount of time. While this balm is not specifically made for use with cloth diapers, it doesn’t contain any zinc oxide, which can cause build up. Still use caution, but the natural ingredients make me feel more comfortable using it with my fluff.
I did use the balm on myself too! I had a couple scrapes on my hand that I put it on as well as some painful blisters on my feet. It didn’t hurt to apply it and seemed to help protect them and heal up. It definitely kept the blisters soft. They didn’t pop or dry out and get all painful like I’ve experienced in the past.
