Tales From the Nursery: The Toddler Years

TOYconomy ~ Blog Bash Sponsor Spotlight #blogbash11

I can’t tell you how happy I am to be working with TOYconomy for Blog Bash 2011!  They are sponsoring a gift card which can be used to rent toys.  If you are interested in knowing more about their toy rental service and my thoughts and experiences, please be sure to check out my review!

TOYconomy takes into consideration that kids love toys and they love playing with new (to them) toys.  However, many times they outgrow (or get bored of) their own before they are worn out.  So many like-new belongings that just take up space in closets, bedrooms, basements, and garages.

Instead of hanging onto them, you can trade them in to TOYconomy!  If they are in good condition, other children can enjoy those toys while they still have life left in them and you’ll receive a credit towards toy rental.  TOYconomy not only can save you space, but it can save you money too.  Instead of buying brand new toys that are $20-$40 a pop – rent them!  Try them out and if your child really loves it you can purchase at a discount.  Or, send them back at the end of your rental period and rent new ones!  It’s definitely a cheaper way to rotate new toys every 30, 60 or 90 days.

We’ve been enjoying using TOYconomy and have purchased some of the toys we “rented” during our review period.  I also had purchased an awesome $10 for $20 deal so I am in the process of deciding what to rent next.

There are toys for babies on up!  If you aren’t sure what toys would be good to stimulate development, get in touch with Shannon, the owner.  She can help with some recommendations.  Their newsletter also have helpful and interesting information.  It comes out 1-2 times a month at this time.  (Yay for not spamming my inbox!)

TOYconomy is sponsoring a $25 gift card for one of our Blog Bash 2011 prize packs!

Connect with them on their website TOYconomy.com, on Twitter @toyconomy and find TOYconomy on Facebook!

Have Something To Say ?

I have heard of toy rental but never really gave it alot of thought till now. I can see how it would work since they suggest changing your child’s toys every other week to keep them entertained. This way you could exchange the one(s) you have instead of buying new ones at full price. Interesting.

I have heard of something similar to this but the way my children are rough on toys I don’t know if it would be a good idea for us. But it is a cool concept!Sally
