Tales From the Nursery: The Toddler Years

Invention Needed: Baby Head Holder Upper

I hate seeing Rissa’s head slump down when she sleeps in the car.  It’s one thing when it’s just a short trip (under 30 minutes), but we traveled about 3 hours out of town to visit my parents this weekend.

I sat in the backseat to try and keep her occupied when she was awake and to keep an eye on her when she snoozed.  She looked so uncomfortable with her chin to chest.  And, I must say, it worries me to let her be like that for too long.

I tried to find different ways to prop her head, but nothing worked.  So, I spent a good chunk of the trip there and back leaning over so I could hold her head up.

If only I had a strap to secure across that her forehead could rest against or something… as weird as that may sound it.just.might.work.

(I’m tired from the trip and have a LOT of comments to respond to from the past week, plus need to catch up on follow backs.  I know and I apologize for my delay.)

I know over here in NZ, we had a little U shaped pillow, that you could put under the chin and around the nexk to help support the head while in car seats
