I really like TheraBreath’s toothpaste and oral rinse, so when I was offered the chance to try their brand new probiotic I was excited!  They really have a handle on how to treat bad breath.  This probiotic is a seven day treatment.  Ideally the treatment should be done once a month.  The treatment comes with a thorough booklet to read.   The solution mix is divided up into packets that are labeled for you, which was nice.  The first and last day you are supposed to do a morning and night rinse while days two through six is just once a day.   Having them laid out made it much easier to remember!

The kit also included a small tube of TheraBreath toothpaste that will last you through the course of the treatment.   I liked that they included this because they recommend using them together but you don’t have to make a separate purchase this way.  (Although, I say get it!)  The probiotic is used as a rinse.  You mix it up then use one mouthful after brushing and then another rinse/gargle.  I can’t seem to gargle since I end up swallowing if I try… so I just double rinsed.  The first mouthful is for a 60 seconds, which seems long.  The taste is similar to a dissolved lemon antacid.  It was odd, but not horrible.  I much prefer the light mint of their oral rinse!

This probiotic has been ten years in the making.  It is designed to actively attack harmful germs and bacteria that can cause issues such as bad breath, cavities, sore throats, etc.  My mouth really feels better when I use TheraBreath products.  I actually ran out of the oral rinse before I started the probiotic treatment.  Although I was still using the toothpaste, I could feel and taste the difference in my mouth.  The treatment makes it feel like balance is restored or something.  I’ve also had some slight sinus issues (a bit of a drip and sniffles) but have felt fine otherwise.
