Tales From the Nursery: The Toddler Years

Review: Baby Rock Apparel

I love shopping for baby girl clothes.  Any of you that read my blog during my pregnancy last year know this from the baby wardrobe posts.  Girlie dresses and outfits have their time and place, but I don’t dress that way myself.  I’m most comfortable in a band tour shirt (or a witty one) and jeans.

I listen to heavy metal.

I have a tattoo.

I want some baby clothes with attitude! Edgy, cool stuff.

I’m happy to share with you a place that has all that: Baby Rock Apparel!

Needless to say, I was very excited when they agreed to work with me for a review.  The hardest part was picking only one thing out!

Here’s some information about them before I show you what I got for Rissa:

Founded in 2004, Baby Rock Apparel was created out of the necessity to clothe infant, baby and toddler boys in trendy baby clothes. Baby Rock Apparel was among the first baby clothes manufacturers to offer hip baby clothes with an edge for boys and girls. The market is crowded with followers, but Baby Rock continues to lead the pack with innovative stylish designs on one-pieces, t-shirts, hoodies, caps and beanies.

They also created the Tinkle Tube and they donate to The Pediatric Cancer Foundation.  I really like that they donate a portion of their profits to help children affected by cancer.  If there’s one thing that tugs at my heart strings, it’s children affected by serious illness.  Another great feature of this company is that their products are made in the USA.

"Sorry boys, I only date rock stars."

I picked out the Sorry boys, I only date Rock Stars onesie.  The material is 100% cotton and feels soft.  I loved the chrome look of the snaps.  It really pulled together the whole outfit, I think.  It’s held up through a few washes – no shrinking or fading.  It attracted a lot of cat hair, but that’s expected in this house.  The neckline design made it easy to put over her head.  Rissa HATES things going over her face, especially clothes that are kind of tight going over her melon.  This onesie was much easier to put on and take off quickly.

There is a great selection of shirts and accessories for your little punk like hats, tutus and pettiskirts, hoodies, and more!  However, toddlers seem to have the widest selection.  Not everything comes in baby sizes (or they were sold out in the smaller sizes).  I didn’t see anything smaller than 3-6 months.  I know babies grow so fast, so it probably is wiser to invest in rock apparel when the aren’t sprouting up quite as fast.

The next thing I’m getting is this sweet skully pacifier clip:

Soon she’ll have a completely rockin’ outfit!

BabyRock makes the cutest baby clothes! The fact that the company gives back to a cause such as the cancer foundation makes me more likely to buy from them as opposed to off the rack in a brick and mortar store.http://tammylynes.blogspot.com
