I kid, although I suppose it’s a half-truth. I’m not the same person I was before becoming a mother, that’s for sure. It’s one of those things I’ve heard countless times, but I didn’t really “get it” until I became a mom myself.

I’m currently a stay-at-home mom. This wasn’t in ‘the plan,’ but my position was eliminated while on leave…so yeah. I admit, I had thoughts about wanting to stay home. We worked hard on straightening our finances up before Rissa’s arrival last Halloween. Thankfully we are making it work for now and I hope we can continue to do so!
Why “Tales From the Nursery?”
It took us three years of trying to conceive before we became successful. Once that happened, I had quite a task ahead of me: Preparing the nursery.
It was a storage room of sorts, so I had to go through a lot of boxes and just stuff. I opted to donate a lot of stuff to Goodwill. I think it was a couple carloads. As I worked my way through, I thought about how much time I’d be spending in the nursery once baby arrived.
Then I realized I was already spending a ton of time in the nursery!
Add to my desire to blog about my pregnancy and keep family up-to-date…. and TA-DA… I had tales to share from the nursery.
