Putting the ‘Fun’ in Fundraising!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Big Event Fundraising.
I remember school fundraisers when I was a kid – selling pizzas, gift wrap, and candy. I remember it felt like a chore and I couldn’t connect with the financial goal. Hearing about needing money for new playground equipment next year just wasn’t motivating. It was too far off and too out of touch to generate much interest. Sure, there were prizes, but they either weren’t appealing or the required number of items sold was extremely high.
I recently became aware of a very interesting and appealing fundraising option that is available for schools: Big Event Fundraising. They have several types of fundraiser merchandise to offer, such as cards, pizza, cookie dough, frozen foods, etc. But what really makes them unique is their four prize programs:
- Super Party
- Super Splash Party
- Magic Show
- Reptile Adventures
These provide kids with a variety of prize levels to earn (including an iPod!), but it only takes a few sales to earn admission into one of these prize programs. I know I would have been more excited to try and sell 5 items to see a reptile show instead of the daunting task of 100 for a bike (or whatever it was, I don’t quite recall).
But wait, I haven’t even gotten to the coolest part yet…
Most kids sell fundraising merchandise to family, right? And to their parents’ friends and coworkers. What if you have a lot of family out of town? Usually you skip them because it’s hassle to collect their money and get the goods to them. Well, Big Event Fundraising also offers an online store where people can order. They pay online and the items are shipped to them. The money goes to your kid’s fundraiser and counts towards their prize totals!
If you are interested in more information, please check out Big Event Fundraising’s free brochures. They are available to assist you and help you run a successful fundraiser. They state that they’ve assisted their customers with increasing school fundraising results 93% on average.
Once my daughter starts school, I hope they look into Big Event Fundraising so her experience can be more fun than mine was!

WOW – This sounds like a really neat way to raise funds for schools, etc. Sounds a lot easier than what my kids generally bring home!
Thats so neat! I love how fundraising has become easier and it is bringing more fun in for the kids. Thanks for sharing!
the online store is a good option!
Very cool. Having four kiddos, we know all about fundraising. Though I am not sure the reptile adventures will ever be in our future but this company really looks like they know how to do fundraising up right.
Sounds a lot better than the crap at my son’s school! LoLfreebiespot
Seems like a way to make fundraising fun for kids!AABmommyBlogger
