When I was little, my mom was a rebate queen.  She collected like nobody’s business and was good at figuring out how to buy things with little out-of-pocket cost and get money and items essentially for free.

Nowadays, this world has evolved.  She’s still a whiz with couponing.  I have much to learn.

But even more, there’s a social media aspect to freebies and great deals.  Referrals are always huge as is posting/sharing on Facebook and Twitter.  The only problem is, if you are seeking to really increase your chances, you practically have to spam all of your friends and followers.

I try hard not to do that.  If it’s something I reallyreallyreally wanna win, I might tweet or post it occassionally.  Like, once a day.  I’ve thought about creating accounts just for that, but meh.  I know my twitter account is quite eclectic, but I like it that way.  I mean, when I tweet (whether it’s about gaming, music, baby, life, nonsense, younameit) it’s me.  All me.  It’s too much to have separate accounts for each blog, my life, AND giveaways.

As you know, I’ve decided to switch to cloth diapers.  To try and save costs, I figured trying to win some would be a fantastic idea.

That’s where the obsession comes in.

I’d enter one giveaway and that site would have some others too, so I’d enter for other great stuff.  Then they’d mention so & so is giving away this or that over there… and it just keeps going and going and going.

And I want to win!

There’s a lot of great baby & mom type items, which is what my focus is on.  But giftcards get my attention too.  And, the more I enter… the more likely I am to win something, am I right?

Well, in the last week, I’ve entered countless giveaways.  I have a TON more on my “to-be-entered” radar.  But, I’ve won a book and a $25 giftcode for CSN stores.

But it’s not enough! I want more!  And someday, I hope to be able to host some myself.

Oh right, my main point for this post… consider this a warning! :)

Yes, there might be some posts letting you know about some great giveaways.  I admit, telling you about it here tends to supply me with extra entries, but you might find something you want too!

It really has turned into an obsession though, but one that I hope will payoff!
